This is book two of The Demon Diaries and it starts out with our little Dora the Demon Explorer not being able to explore much except the inside of a coffin. Getting expelled from Hell isn’t much fun. Thankfully she if able to Kill Bill herself out of her grave. Unfortunately, her dad is there and he and the townspeople try to kill her again (they aren’t very successful). Some people just have one track minds. Luckily, it doesn’t take long for Dora to continue with her misadventures.This book picks up from where Demonic Dora left off. It doesn’t always feel like a natural transition when you go from one book in the series to another. It seems some authors like to start the next book in some odd way so that there is a hiccup in the story and you feel like you have to play a bit of catch up. No here! You are where you should be. You get to meet a whole new cast of characters who join up with your main peeps. There are werewolves, weresquirrels, witches, b**tches, P.I.S.S (I am noticing a bodily function trend but I don’t judge) and a somewhat helpful spider. What’s not to love here?
The overall tone of the book matches the first. It is still very light and humorous. You have a few more twists and turns thrown at you (who knew about Kieron’s mom geez). The whole thing about the werewolves killing vampires with a full moon, a bit of imaginative fun right there. If you are worried that the second book will not live up to the first, put those worries aside. This was just as much fun to read as Demonic Dora.

Loved the book and characters. Kind of resent that their isn't 10 more in the series to read.
Twists and turns ending with another trip to Limbo and Angel Boot Camp. Who died this time and needs rescuing again??
Dora, Kieron, Pooey and their misadventures are back! This time they are joined by not only their (still) dysfunctional families but by some equally quirky new characters. Plenty of laughs still abound and I must say that this time I am really hooked on the series and want to read more.
This is a must read! I loved how everyone worked to find each other. I loved how her parents changed. I loved everything! Can't wait to see what happens next.
I have to ditto Lynda79's review. Dora has so much in her life, yet she remains good of heart. Ironic given that the church and humans are so bad, and the demon friends are so loyal. I really like this, fun and fast paced.
I really enjoyed this book. The author has given the characters and world more depth without losing the wit and charm of the main characters. Though this story contained many more characters and implausible storylines,I found myself giggling and treating through the pages. Can't wait for the next story.
The books have good content, well written and sort of a teen angsty comedy to them.
The down side is there is no more of a plot slash story than one single minded following of the heading... no options or branches for the story to take. Its fairly practicable.
